A partner and doula supporting a laboring mother through a contraction in a hospital room

Insurance and Medicaid can cover your birth doula.

Most moms never find out — we help you apply and fill out the paperwork with you.

Rosy Sabido, owner of Blooming Bellies, is a Doula community leader in South Florida, with 60+ births attended the last 18 months and serves on a doula consultation board partnering with Jackson Health System. Serving Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach.

What most families miss

Almost nobody tells you this is an option.

Insurance and Medicaid can cover birth doula support in Florida. Your OB usually won’t mention it. Your plan won’t advertise it. The hospital won’t bring it up.

So moms go through birth without a doula, or pay out of pocket when they didn’t have to.

Coverage

What your plan may cover.

  • Prenatal visits with your doula
  • Continuous support through labor and delivery
  • Postpartum visits after you’re home with baby
  • On-call access as your due date gets close
  • Support in English or Spanish

Coverage varies by plan and is subject to eligibility and verification. Ultrasound and imaging are self-pay.

“I had an amazing experience with Rosy throughout my pregnancy and labor. Her kindness, compassion, and calming presence made a traumatic birth experience much more manageable. She went above and beyond by staying for aftercare and consistently following up afterward to check on both me and my baby, which truly showed how much she cares. I would absolutely choose Rosy again for a future pregnancy and highly recommend her to be your Doula.”

Mia Nastasia — Miami, Florida

“Hiring Rosie was the best decision of my life. From her confirming my pregnancy when my son was a little spec on the ultrasounds, to being right by my side when he was delivered. As a first time mom Rosie made this experience easy and enjoyable even when complications presented itself during labor she made sure to keep me at ease for the best delivery possible. There is no one else you should consider as your doula but Rosie!”

Briana Lorenzo — Miami, Florida

“I recently gave birth and had hired Rosy as my doula. Rosy is an amazing doula and very attentive. This was my first born and Rosy went through everything I needed to know as a FTM and helped with birth prep, home exercise videos and education. Rosy is very easy to communicate with and answers texts/calls very timely. During my birth Rosy brought the best vibes — oils, lights and knowledge of machine/equipment. Her presence and massage techniques helped me get through contractions and helped me to remain relaxed. Rosy feels like having a friend who cares about your entire pregnancy journey. Very grateful for her and highly recommend her services!”
